I never knew Bea...

but since I've joined this board, I've been following all the threads about her - and I am touched by the love and support and care showed by all of you. I am sure she knew how lucky she was to have you guys.

To the Paul Family

This Blog was designed for you to have a place to come to when you miss Bea. I am pretty new to Chix and unfortunately didn't get to know Bea as well as some of the others. Needless to say I thought she was so very sweet! She was one of the Chix that made me feel a part of the Chix family right from the beginning.

From the response on this blog you can see her short life has touched many people in many different ways. Some people can't achieve 1/4 of that even if they live to 100.

My Mom Died 8 Months ago to the day Bea did. I miss her dearly. She was my best friend. Everyday I do things hoping that I keep her memory alive and with us. I think that is why I was so moved to do something for your family that would give you a place to keep Bea's memories and also to share them.

So on behalf of myself and the Chix enjoy this blog and make it something Bea would love...

Rest in peace sweet Bea, you will be missed.

"Bea and I had been excited for weeks about meeting at Foxwoods, messaging each other back and forth about that weekend. When the weekend finally arrived, I was so excited to meet Bea. I arrived there Saturday morning and impatiently waited for her and Cara to show up later that day. Cara found me at the $4/8 tables to say hi and to say she'd lost Bea in the poker room.
Cara came back a little while later and took me to meet Bea who was busy playing at a $2/4 limit table. Oh wow, they definitely looked like siblings. Let me give you a Bea visual comparing her to Cara. A few inches shorter, you can see the family resemblance in the face, they have almost the exact same accent and tone to their voice, they both can swear with the best of them but only Bea didn't throw chairs. The first thing Bea said to me is that I don't look like she expected me to look. I asked her what she expected and she said she expected me to look like my avatar, very tall and skinny. I said she didn't look like her avatar either, no dolphin in her at all, no fins. I was so excited to meet her! We decide to meet later for dinner and both go back to playing.
A while later I look at my phone and see that I'm late to meet Bea. I go and get Bea and we grab Cara to go eat. We end up going to the buffet and this is where I find out that Bea can eat like a champ...I've finally found someone who actually loves chocolate more than I do. After we eat, they head back down to the poker room but I'm tired and have been playing since 10 am and want to go back to my room to relax and get to bed so we part ways for the evening.
The next day we meet down in the room where the tournament is being held. Bea is very nervous and I spend some time before the tournament chatting with her and trying to calm her down. The tournament starts and after a while, I lose track of her. Later on, I find out from Cara that Bea has a nice chip stack and is doing well. Bea gets knocked out right before the dinner break and her and Cara head back to their room so Bea can get some rest. I went back to my room to rest myself and ended up falling asleep. I looked at my phone in the morning and saw that Bea had called me around 2 am to see what I was doing. I'd never met anyone with so much energy, so full of life.
I was very happy to meet Bea and to hang out with her. Bea tried to call me the next day while I was in the poker room and my phone never rang. Although she had said before we met that she didn't like having her picture taken, she was calling to try to meet up with me so we could have our picture taken. How I regret that my phone didn't ring that day. As I was writing this, I found a post on the chix site from Bea that said she planned on dragging me down to Foxwoods in the fall for the women's tournament. How I wished this could have happened. I feel blessed and honored to have been able to meet Bea this past spring and would have loved to spend time with her again.
Rest in peace sweet Bea, you will be missed. "
